refreshing the spirit, a weekend at the beach

After my last, epically long post let’s take a breather. I love words, they have such power to paint an image, but sometimes it’s nice just to look. That’s what I did last week end on a windy, deserted beach in the Otways. Walked with loved ones, admired the textures and colours of the place. The throbbing sound of a native bird flitting out of sight, breast heaving with it’s own private aria. And most importantly of all laughed at doggy antics and RELAXED. Is there a place you go to muffle that tiresome internal babble?

    1. Thanks so much for comment Simon! You know it makes my day! πŸ˜€ Glad to help with office escapism whenever I can!

Looking forward to seeing you at the Blitz this Saturday!

  2. I followed the link from your comment to site, and how absolutely delightful to tunnel through to some other country far from my own with vistas such as I’ve never seen, and expanses of wordless quiet. Very, very beautiful. I’ll be back for tips on how to plant a garden (though mine will be in Auroville). I do hope we stay in touch.

  3. Wow, awesome shots! I really enjoyed your photos. The water is so beautiful there! I like to spend time in nature as well to relax and unwind. We live on 20 wooded acres, so I like to retreat to the woods whenever I need some down time or want to feel rejuvenated. Nature always does the trick πŸ™‚

  4. I enjoyed sitting back and experiencing nature through the medium of your photos. I am thinking that an hour in natural parkland can have the same restorative value for city-dwellers. My favorite park is Royal Park West.

  5. What beautiful photos! I love the B&W one of the dogs being silly on the sand. I often feel that deep need to be amongst nature. Your description, although brief, was so evocative. Thanks for a five-minute escape from my office cubicle!
